Q-SYS - Cores
The World’s Most Powerful Software Based DSP Solution for Audio, Video & Control
Q-SYS™ has no equal as a scalable audio, video and control ecosystem. Driven by the Q-SYS OS, it leverages the power of Intel™ processing, the robustness and mission-critical reliability of a purpose-built Linux™ kernel, the interoperability of IEEE networking standards, and of course the limitless potential Q-SYS realtime operating system to deliver an open and IT-friendly Platform, which in turn enables an entire Ecosystem of Q-SYS Partners and open device integration development. The capabilities of Q-SYS software-based processing and control transcends the limitations found in single purpose, hardware-based products.
-
Layer 3 networking: Ensures Q-SYS can run on the backbone of existing IT infrastructure eliminating the need for a dedicated audio network.
-
Industry-leading hardware design: Future-proof investment in standards-based software and computer technology running on Intel processors.
-
Simple, cost-effective scalability: Its flexible software-based architecture allows Q-SYS to accommodate the growth of your system while supporting the needs of your unique security environment as they change.
-
Unified design/development software suite: Single training investment in one software design tool for small to large systems of all applications types.
Network I/O Peripherals
Q-SYS I/O peripherals help connect the power of the Q-SYS Core processor to the outside world of audio. I/O cards provide connectivity to analog and digital sources and destinations, while the I/O-Frame and I/O-22 allow local or remote inputs or outputs anywhere that a standard Gigabit Ethernet network is available with connectivity back to the Core.
I/O-8 Flex Channel Expander : The Q-SYS™ I/O-8 Flex Channel Expander adds a multitude of expansion capabilities to the Q-SYS Ecosystem in a compact, capable networked peripheral that can be remotely located wherever the I/O is required.
Core 510i (in I/O Frame mode) : When deployed in “I/O Frame mode”, the Q-SYS Core 510i processor offers the ability to integrate up to 128 x 128 audio channels in to the Q-SYS system for processing on a separate Q-SYS Core. It can accommodate any combination of 8 x Q-SYS Type-II I/O cards. This is particularly useful when integrating large numbers of networked audio channels from Dante™, CobraNet™ or AVB™ devices and subsystems in to the Q-SYS Ecosystem.
I/O Frame : I/O Frames can be used to physically locate inputs and outputs connections near their sources and destinations. Dual Gigabit Ethernet connections route the audio signals through the Core for processing. Each I/O Frame can house up to four I/O cards enabling up to 16 channels of input and/or output in a single unit.
I/O-22 : The Q-SYS I/O-22 is a compact unit designed for use when the audio sources and destinations of a Q-SYS network are physically spread out, such as the individual seats in a conferencing system or individual rooms in a multi-room venue. Providing two mic/line inputs and two line outputs, the I/O-22 is ideal for applications such as legislative or judicial chambers, meeting rooms, ballrooms, ancillary zones, classrooms, VIP suites, and stage patching.
I/O Cards : I/O cards provide connectivity to analog and digital sources and destinations include high quality mic/line input cards, line output, as well as bridge network cards for Dante™, AVB™, CobraNet™ and more.
Software-based Dante™ for the Q-SYS Ecosystem
As a part of the Q-SYS Ecosystem, software-based Dante™ provides network audio integration without the need for additional hardware. As part of a strategic co-development effort with Audinate, QSC leveraged the open architecture and Intel processing headroom of the Q-SYS OS to extend its audio integration capabilities to include Dante. In keeping with the QSC commitment to software-based platform expansion, these optional software licenses will allow integrators to right-size and scale the appropriate Dante channel count into new and existing Q-SYS installations.

ILA Series
ILA is a line array system designed specifically for installation in a variety of venues including houses of worship, sports facilities, clubs and other entertainment venues. ILA System v2 is a complete system consisting of line array, subwoofer, processing, amplification and suspension accessories. The result is an accessible system with very high performance, moderate cost and ease of deployment.
Most line array systems currently available are designed for touring applications, which require extreme ruggedization and expensive suspension hardware. As a result, overall system cost is driven beyond the means of many facilities that could benefit from line array performance. By focusing on installation applications, using a molded enclosure and simplifying the rigging design, QSC has driven cost out of the ILA System while retaining the sound quality, coverage and power of high end touring line array systems.
WideLine 8 Series
Designed for the most demanding concert and installation audio professionals, the WideLine-8 system (model WL3082) sets new standards for astonishing acoustical performance and compact size. Line arrays are increasingly employed in a wider range of venues and applications, and frequently these venues have height or sightline restrictions that limit the placement and size of the array. Added to this, rising fuel costs are putting pressure on rental production companies to downsize their transportation requirements. And let’s not forget that client and audience expectations for audio performance has never been higher. To meet these needs, QSC embarked on a program to develop the most compact, highest output line array speaker system available.
WideLine 10 Series
The QSC WideLine-10 (model WL2102-w) is a full range line array loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide variety of venues, ranging from ballrooms, theaters and nightclubs to concert halls, houses of worship and arenas. The WideLine-10 features an open, natural sound quality and exceptionally wide 140° horizontal coverage pattern—the widest of any line array system currently available. For installations, the WL2102-w and it’s companion WL218-sw subwoofer are also available in white.
WideLine-10 is a three transducer system and can be operated in either biamplified or triamplified modes. Both 10" diameter low frequency transducers are used to cover the lowest frequency range. One driver covers only low frequencies while the range of the other extends through the mid frequencies to the mid/high crossover point. The use of a single midrange transducer allows the horizontal coverage pattern to remain as wide as possible and assures smooth response both on and off axis at the transition to the diffraction slot loaded high frequency section. Biamplification uses passive elements to affect the required frequency response shading of the low-frequency drivers and offers reduced amplifier channel counts and simplified wiring. Triamplification allows the required low-frequency shading to be controlled with greater precision via active electronics and is recommended where maximum output and highest sound quality are required.
KLA Series
The KLA Series is comprised of two models, the KLA12 12-inch, 2-way loudspeaker and the KLA181 18-inch subwoofer. The KLA12 features a highly efficient 500 watt by 500 watt power amp module and the KLA181 offers the same highly efficient power amp module in a 1,000 watt configuration. This efficient design enables up to five KLA models (any combination of KLA12 and KLA181) to be driven off of a single 15 amp, 120 volt electrical circuit.
KLA loudspeakers incorporate QSC's DEEP™ DSP algorithm - providing extended bass response by actively managing potentially damaging low-frequency transients - and GuardRail™ circuitry protection which prevents the amplifier module from unnatural and destructive clipping.
As an energy saving feature, the Auto Standby mode automatically engages after five minutes of inactivity but upon resumption of audio signal, the power module on the KLA will awaken instantly for immediate output.
In an installed application, multiple KLA Series loudspeakers can be "daisy-chained" for total gain control from a single remote pot wired to the on-board Phoenix-style connector. Additional power module characteristics on KLA include a balanced, line-level XLR input in parallel with an XLR "Thru" connector, PowerCon™ In and Thru connectors, Attenuation Control and LED indicators for Signal, Limit, Power and Standby status.
